Ferns are moisture loving plants that require full to partial shade. They perform best in soil that is rich in organic matter and do not require fertilizing. Ferns are easily propagated by division. |
Athyrium ‘Godzilla’
common name Japanese Painted Fern hardy in zones 3-8 full to partial shade Other Athyriums have done reasonably well in my garden, but this is one of the top performers, and it has hardly had the chance to become established. I don't know if it will ever reach the height it is claimed to, but it definitely makes a showing. |
